Albina Pozdnyakova

Poet, tanslator, coordinator of numerous literary events, performances and presentations in Ukraine, born in 1983 in Lviv.

Sep. 2004 – May 2008 – editor of the literary and artistic self-published journal «Три» («Three»). Since 2007 works as an editor-in-chief of the book-journal «Provocatio».

Coordinates literary part of a theater festival «Drabyna» since 2006. This literary actions are combinations of theatre and contemporary poetry.

Main organizer of literary festival «наЛІТ» (2006, 2007) in Lviv, Ukraine, where young writers and artists from Ukraine, Byelorussia and Poland combined their texts with music and visual art.

One of three coordinators of «120» project. Presentation of the anthology «120 сторінок Содому» («120 pages of Sodom») in Lviv and Kiev. Getting acquainted Ukrainian readers with the texts on lesbian/gay subject, created by modern writers and poets from many countries of the world and first given in Ukrainian translation.

Coordinator and creator of the project «8 поеток на 8 березня» («8 She-Poets on the 8-th of March») in Lviv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kiev, Nizhyn; contemporary female poetry, combined with video art. Also coordinator and creator of the project «8 поетів на 8 березня» («8 Нe-Poets on the 8-th of March») in Kiev and Lviv; mail poetry about women.

Coordinator of a social and art project «Woman 3000» in Lviv and organizer of literary events in other cities of the tour: Kiev, Odesa, Simferopol, Kharkiv. «Woman 3000» project was reflected by the photographic art of the broaden picture of the woman from 17 countries, exhibitions in more than 20 alternative spaces of 5 cities, discussions and press-conferences with music concerts, poetry on the street festival and other art doings.

Laureate of an International competition of  young writers «Гранослов» for the collection of poetry «Пряма мови» («Direct Speech»), Kiev, 2007. 3 place in the «Смолоскип» competition for the novel «По той бік ковдри» («On the Other Side of the Blanket»), Kiev, 2008. 2 place in the «Просто так» competition іn nomination «Poetry», Korosten, 2010.

Writes about books translated into Ukrainian for «ШО» («WHAT») magazine.
